An excellent volley from Fernandinho rounded off a brilliant Man City performance against Man United which saw them book their place at Wembley.

It proved to be a very entertaining game at Old Trafford. Three goals were disallowed for offside and Kevin De Bruyne struck the post before the break.

City did take the lead through John Stones. The Englishman tapped it home after Phil Foden had sent in a fine cross. Fernandinho secured the victory late on with a volley from the edge of the area. Guardiola’s men are now through to their fourth straight Carabao Cup Final.

Man United and Man City are in a title race and welcome £19m and £7m wingers respectively in January.
