Tributes have been paid to a dad-of-three who was found dead just days after his disappearance.

Carl Sutcliffe, 45, was reported missing from his home in St Helens on Saturday, November 14.

In a statement today, Merseyside Police said the body of the 45-year-old was found in Glasgow on Tuesday, November 17.

His death is not believed to be suspicious at this stage and a post mortem will be carried out, police said.

Hundreds of tributes have flooded in on social media to Mr Sutcliffe from family, friends and the general public.

Sharing a tribute on behalf of Mr Sutcliffe’s partner Vicky on Facebook, friend Klara wrote: “I want to thank everyone who shared the post regarding Carl missing. Sadly today he was found and he’s no longer here with us.

“I have loved every single second minute hours days and years with you and I don’t regret a second of them and if I could do it all again I would in a heartbeat.

“Our hearts will be broken forever but you know you were my one and only ever and always will be.
