Foxtel’s Kayo Sports has apologized after cricket greats Shane Warne and Andrew Symonds turned an explosive on-air gaffe into the ridiculous hit star of Marnus Labuschagne

The couple tore at the crease at Australia’s No. 3 for their eccentric mannerisms, apparently unaware that the cameras were taping

The exchange that took place as they were preparing to call the Big Bash League game between the Adelaide Strikers and the Melbourne Renegades became widespread on social media on Friday night and was nearly 49Viewed 000 times (at 9 a.m. 15 AEDT)

It brought back memories of the infamous “Can’t Roll, Can’t Throw” sled directed against former Test Paceman Scott Muller, which was recorded by Channel Nines sound effects microphone in Hobart in 1999

Warne, a gamer at the time, had his finger pointed at him but claimed he was not the culprit. A nine cameraman, Joe Previtera (aka Joe the cameraman), publicly confessed, but the secret always hovered over him what happened

Friday’s conversation started harmlessly enough with Warne suggesting that Labuschagne’s part-time leg spin should be included in the attack on the late second day of the third test in Sydney

“Yes, f —” replied Warne “Jeez, it’s annoying ‘No !!!’ Just hit right, “Warne said, referring to Labuschagne’s unorthodox behavior in hitting Superstar batsman Steve Smith has similar quirks but hasn’t been targeted

Symonds then suggests, “we have to give him the pig pile” – a term that refers to a group of people jumping on one person

“Buddy, if you hold up the shit we have to squeeze the guts out of your ass,” says Symonds, laughing at Warne

The Australian team management is aware of the comments, but a team spokesperson has indicated that they are unlikely to pursue the matter during the crucial test

The comments create an awkward situation in case Warne has to interview Labuschagne as part of his engagements with Fox Cricket

Warne has worked with Labuschagne in the past, giving bowling tips to the part-time leg spinner during Ashes 2019 in England

“Our stream started early and received some unacceptable comments. On behalf of @kayosports and the comment team, we apologize unreservedly,” the streaming service tweeted
