The embarrassed publicist Max Clifford boasted that he had never been faithful to his wife Liz, who were pictured together, for more than three weeks, as his biographer has revealed

Clifford later married Jo Westwood, pictured together after Liz, 36 years old, died of lung cancer

On the tapes, Clifford said he was serially unfaithful to his 36-year-old wife Liz, who had died of lung cancer a year earlier

He said, ‘I had business, I was greedy, it was wonderful Liz was my wife, the rest was for entertainment’

Clifford continued, “It was my party, my circus, so I was the ringmaster. We were all in this toy store and we could play with any toy

‘There would be four or five stars and five or six girls doing all sorts of things and I controlled it’

During the interviews, Clifford insisted that the women involved in his infidelities and sex parties were “old enough to know what they were doing and thoroughly enjoyed what had happened”

However, in 2012 he was arrested for a series of indecent assaults against teenage girls and later convicted and imprisoned for eight attacks against four victims, the youngest being 15

Details from his biography were used by the prosecution at his trial, and he admitted that he had been unfaithful to his first wife several times, but insisted that his sexual activities were “good, honest shit” and not illegal / p>

Ms. Levin said she was shocked when he was arrested and didn’t know he was targeting underage girls

Sharon Elliott, one of Clifford’s victims, spoke of her ordeal that morning in 2014

In 2012, Clifford was arrested for a series of indecent assaults against teenage girls and later convicted and jailed for eight attacks against four victims, the youngest of whom was 15 years old

But she told Channel 4’s documentary, Max Clifford: The Fall of a Tabloid King, that he wanted details of his sex life to be included in his 2005 biography

She said he told her, “I want you to know that I haven’t been faithful to my wife for more than two or three weeks’

The documentary spoke to three of Clifford’s victims, who told how he nursed them with promises of fame and then forced or blackmailed them to engage in sexual acts

Journalists said he also secretly photographed his friends and buddies having sex in his office, boasting about having a cache of compromising photos

Clifford, who was incarcerated for eight years, died of a heart attack in 2017 while in prison
