Bindi Irwin already has a nickname for her unborn daughter that was inspired by her father!
Her father Steve Irwin passed away 15 years ago, and now Bindi and husband Chandler Powell are keeping his memory alive with one of his favorite terms
She told The Bump, “My father was the first to create the term ‘wildlife warrior.’ To be a wildlife warrior means standing up and speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. We have our daughter as ours Baby Wildlife Warrior means I know in my heart that she will go her own way to make our planet a better place ”
The 22-year-old said, “My extraordinary mother is my best friend and I know she will be such an amazing grandmother. We spent a long time looking for grandma’s names that also had an animal connection “Bunny” means’ ”
She added that she was inspired by a former neighbor and said, “We were just beginning to realize that it wasn’t her name but what everyone was calling her as she was a grandmother figure to the entire neighborhood ”
In August, Bindi announced that they would expect the “Baby Wildlife Warrior Due 2021” message. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we are counting on it! It is an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you ”
