A person was shocked and killed on a GO train on the Lakeshore West Line in Burlington Friday morning.
“Very early this morning, we unfortunately had another accident with someone being hit by a train, and we are thinking of everyone who participated in this latest incident, but it is definitely a very difficult time for everyone in the area and now for our clients on the West Lake Line,” a spokeswoman said. This is a confirmed death unfortunately our thoughts with loved ones.
Aikens admitted that what happened was so tragic over the past 24 hours that two other people were also injured by trains
“We were killed yesterday in East Lake, a very different location. We had a serious accident on Kitchener last night hitting another person with a Via train. It’s a very difficult time for our customers and everyone in the area right now,” he said.
Aikins said the trains would likely not be able to move through the area for at least two hours.
