There are six new cases of COVID-19 in P.E.i This led the province to step on their second breaker of the pandemic

Chief Public Health Officer Dr Heather Morrison made the update available in an unscheduled briefing on Saturday afternoon as the number of confirmed cases continues to rise

Morrison said all new cases are in their twenties, five of them are men and one is female

A total of 12 new cases have been announced in the last five days. All cases are self-isolating

Morrison said more than 150 people were identified as close contacts of the positive cases

During one of two briefings Morrison held on Friday, she said she was concerned about the new cases

During Saturday’s briefing, Morrison said she strongly recommends teens 22-29 years old who have not yet been tested to do so on Sunday at Three Oaks Senior High School (TOSH)

With the new cases, Morrison announced additional public exposure sites, saying people who were in these locations at the relevant times should self-isolate and be tested

With the latest cases, Morrison announced that the province will introduce a circuit breaker with new restrictions starting tomorrow at 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. March

First, companies and organizations that need to keep contact records of employees, attendees and customers should ensure that these records are accurate, complete, easily accessible and easily readable. Contact lists should be updated regularly and at least once a week

“Quickly available and accurate contact information supports more efficient and timely contact tracking,” she said contact lists should be current, complete and include employee lists

This includes staying half a meter from those outside your home, keeping the social circle small, washing your hands frequently, and wearing a mask. “If you don’t have to do anything, choose to stay at home “she said

“We have said that this is really a social virus in many ways So we have to work together to reduce our social contacts to try to manage it””
