England will meet Iceland on Wednesday 18 November in the Uefa Nations League Group A2 Final

England will host Iceland in the Nations League on Wednesday evening, in what is essentially dead rubber after the two teams were knocked out of the tournament this week

England needed to beat Belgium on Sunday to have a chance to qualify from Group A2, but the Three Lions were defeated 2-0. Meanwhile, Iceland’s search for a win – or even a point – in the tournament remained unsuccessful when they lost 2-1 to Denmark. After they conceded a penalty kick in the final moments of the match

England coach Gareth Southgate at least hopes to use this match to test different options in terms of personnel and possibly tactics, after criticizing his cautious approach to facing Belgium.

The match will be held at London’s Wembley Stadium, despite suggestions of an alternate venue due to Coronavirus guidelines on travel in Europe

The game will be streamed live on the Sky Sports main event, and subscribers can also broadcast it live on the Sky Go app and the Sky Sports website

Regardless of which group of players Southgate chooses, they must have a lot for Iceland, who have lost all five of their Nations League matches this season by a -10 goal difference England 2–0 Iceland
