The Europa League round of 16 draw has been made and Tottenham Hotspur now knows their next opponent. Spurs were drawn against the Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb, the second leg took place in London
It’s a good draw Zagreb came out of the same Europa League group stage as Spurs’ last opponent Wolfsberger AC, but despite not losing a game in their group, they had a goalless draw against Feyenoord and CSKA Moscow, their first The knockout round took place against the Champions League parachute club Krasnodar, which they defeated 4-2 overall. They are currently at the top of the Croatian league
You may also remember that Dinamo Zagreb is the club that sold us Luka Modric, and for that you will always have my thanks

There aren’t just some fun matchups – United vs. Milan, Arsenal vs. Olympiacos and Roma vs. Shakhtar is guaranteed to eliminate three pretty solid teams when all is said and done The way the draw was played means there will likely be some cheap draw opportunities for Spurs in the quarterfinals in case they make it that far, SOMEONE has to Granada v Molde winners why not Tottenham?
The first leg will take place on Thursday, November 11th The second leg is on Thursday, March 18 March, scheduled, but like last round, both Arsenal and Spurs will play at home the same day, one of them will likely be postponed to Wednesday of this week (and since Spurs did it last time, I assume it will this time will be Arsenal)
UPDATE: According to ESPN, Tottenham’s games are likely to be reversed when the first leg takes place in London
