The BBC’s latest drama that is sure to delight audiences is Bloodlands, a Northern Irish crime thriller starring James Nesbitt

The show is produced by Jed Mercurio, the maker of Line of Duty, and is filmed in the Strangford Lough area

A description teasing the show’s release goes: “When a car is pulled out of Strangford Lough with a possible suicide note, DCI Tom Brannick (James Nesbitt – The Missing Cold Feet) quickly associates it with an infamous cold case with tremendous personal importance

“Bloodlands follows its persistent hunt for a legendary assassin, an explosive game of cat and mouse that has never been for higher stakes”

Executive producer Jed Mercurio said of the show, “Audiences should expect a compelling cat-and-mouse thriller, led by a compelling performance by James Nesbitt and a thought-provoking drama that strikes the balance between the Seeking justice for past crimes and protecting today’s peace “

The show will air on Sunday the 21st February will air their first episode on BBC One at 9 p.m.
