Four Premier League players – three from Tottenham and one from West Ham – are believed to have violated the government’s Covid-19 rules against Christmas together, according to the Daily Mail

According to government policy, people living in Tier 4 areas were not allowed to meet other households indoors over Christmas

Spurs said per Football London correspondent Alasdair Gold: “We are extremely disappointed and condemn this picture of some of our players with family and friends together at Christmas, especially as we know the sacrifices everyone has made across the country to stay safe during the festive season”

“The rules are clear, there are no exceptions, and we regularly remind all of our players and staff of the latest protocols and their responsibility to set an example. The matter is handled in-house”

While West Ham said, according to the Daily Mail, “The club has set the highest possible standards in its protocols and actions related to COVID-19, so we are disappointed to learn of Manuel Lanzini’s actions The matter has been handled internally”
