“A lot of couples have spent a lot of time together over the past year than they would have,” the moderator continued

“Is cooking and eating together a good tool to keep the passion alive and to keep the conversation going?”

“It’s a way to cheer everyone up, feed them, and we’ve all had time to do interesting things and try things out

“Get the kids to cook I think it was a great relief for everyone to be able to cook and enjoy good food”

“But things are going out of style [for example] with cakes – cupcakes were everywhere, are you still a fan or have you moved on?” Asked Ranvir

“Well Ranvir, it wouldn’t be cupcakes. I go back to that wonderful Victoria sandwich very often,” Mary said

Mary went on to discuss a moment when one of the Celebrity Best Home Cook finalists made the most of a nightmare situation in the kitchen

Ranvir asked, “They say it is okay to make mistakes when you make mistakes””

“We all make mistakes, that’s how you get out,” replied Mary. “At the start of the contest, Rachel had her cake and it fell over She immediately picked it up and put it back together and didn’t throw it aside and said, “I had it”

“We should all finish after a mistake, especially in the kitchen after everyone wants to be fed”

“Are you making mistakes or are you perfect? Please don’t say you make mistakes, we all want you to be perfect, don’t you know? “Asked Ranvir

“I’m definitely not perfect I make mistakes Just ask my kids and if it started out as one thing it could turn into something else, “replied the TV chef

“When you break a meringue add some fruit and you can mess up Eton so you have to get out of these things”

“Yes, you can’t be rigid in the kitchen, you have to be a bit flexible,” added the moderator
