TWITTER broke out with funny memes today as music fans who dreamed of seeing live bands tried to get tickets to the Reading and Leeds Festival

Thousands of music lovers were overjoyed after it was announced that both events would take place this summer – many used social media to express their enthusiasm

The famous music festival takes place on the bank holiday weekend in August after Boris Johnson announced that all Covid rules after Jan. June will end

So far, festival organizers have stayed under the radar with their plans for an event in 2021

After the government announced that all lockdown restrictions would be lifted in June, they confirmed that this year’s festival will take place

The official Twitter account confirmed this afternoon that the events would take place in 2021: “Reading and Leeds 2021

“Following the government’s recent announcement, we can’t wait to get back to the fields this summer Let’s go!”

Known for its mix of rap, rock and pop music that attracts thousands of Britons from across the country, the festival takes place this year from Jan. until 29 August instead of

The Reading and Leeds lineup includes six headliners so far, including Stormzy, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Post Malone, Disclosure and Liam Gallagher

Acts like Charli XCX, Yungblud, rapper Jack Harlow, the rockers Neck Deep and the Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid were also recently added to the bill

But the lineup is far from finished as the festival says “a lot more” needs to be announced

And the official website for buying tickets for the weekend seems to have already crashed after the bomb was announced

Others, however, were more cautious and asked if Covid tests were carried out for all visitors at the entrance

It is currently not clear what precautionary measures coronavirus organizers are taking at the festival and how they will be implemented

But despite the uncertainty, some Brits have done everything they can to make their summer from lockdown an unforgettable experience

Twitter user Emily wrote, “I just booked tickets hoping we can go. Optimistic or stupid ?!”

The events will take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the bank holiday weekend in August at locations in Reading and Leeds – with the same bill and listing

Festival goers can camp on the premises or buy day passes to see the live performances
