World News – US – AEW Dynamite Results: Winner, Response, Highlights of the Brodie Lee Tribute Show

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was originally supposed to be part of AEW’s two-week celebration for the New Year, but after Brodie Lee died on Saturday, it was turned into a tribute show

Lee, real name Jon Huber, was the leader of The Dark Order, and one way the company honored him was to have every match on the map included at least one member of the group

Cody Rhodes and Orange Cassidy teamed up at 10 to face Ricky Starks, Brian Cage and Will Hobbs while Chris Jericho commented all night

We also saw Anna Jay and Tay Conti Dr Britt Baker and Penelope Ford and Much More With this week’s episode paying homage to Lee, we decided not to rate the games Instead, let’s focus on recapitulating the action and how AEW pays tribute to it

Dynamite was opened on stage with the entire squad Jim Ross told Lee’s signature catchphrase before standing still for a 10-bell salute. Lee’s family was with the wrestlers and eldest son Brodie Jr On stage he could be seen wearing a Dark Order mask

We then cut a video of Jon Moxley talking about how difficult it was to come up with the right words to pay tribute to his friend, who talked about knowing Lee for over a decade and how they worked together fought in bingo halls and stadiums

Mox talked about Lee always telling him how much he loved being a father, and concluded that he loved Lee like a brother and would never forget him

The first match began shortly afterwards with Matt Hardy and Private Party against Colt Cabana and The Young Bucks

Cabana and Isiah Kassidy started for their teams The bucks and Cabana held the upper hand for a long time and sent Hardy out of the ring with a triple dropkick

The rest of the game was like a typical six-man competition. Each team had multiple sequences and double-team movements as they swapped controls back and forth

The Bucks and Cabana dominated more than Private Party and Hardy, but not by far. All six men had their time to shine, and we saw just about every combination of opponents this matchup could produce

It was smart to start the show with this fight, it was fun, it was fast-paced, and it helped lift the mood in the building after the emotional opening

That night was a celebration of Lee’s life and the business he loved. He would have wanted people to have fun and enjoy the show.This match helped get people into that mindset

Cabana took the win after The Bucks hit the Meltzer driver, and he followed Brodie Jr with a Superman jump in a pinThe announcers called -1 was featured in the crowd cheering after the match

The Acclaimed came out wanting to complain that The Dark Order was dominating the show, but SCU showed up and tossed her in the ring so Cabana and The Bucks could take the team off

Darby Allin spoke after the break about how he met Brodie when he made his debut at AEW and wanted to wrestle him right away.He said Lee had no ego and wanted to uplift everyone. Allin said he would choose Lee’s brain because he was always ready to share

Lance Archer came out wearing jeans and a tank top that looked like Lee’s WWE personality Luke Harper, Eddie Kingston grabbed a microphone and said he loved and missed Brodie before going into heel mode and saying, The Dark Order be nothing without him

Evil Uno attacked Kingston in front of the bell to start a big brawl The Muderhawk monster helped Uno and Stu Grayson take out all three men on the opposing team

Grayson took on the role of the man who took all the damage on the other team before he could perform one of Lee’s signature moves as the show went on hiatus, we returned to see Kingston and Uno robbed each other of life

Archer came in and ran over them all before stepping over the top rope and hitting a formidable moonsault against The Blade Uno and Grayson met their double-team finisher on The Blade to get the win

Once again, the AEW wrestlers hosted a wild match that entertained from start to finish.The clothes Archer wore were a nice touch, but the performance of all six men was what stood out the most

After the fight, AEW played another tribute video with several people sharing their thoughts on Lee Cash Wheeler, Arn Anderson, Cabana, and Bryce Remsburg shared how great he was as a family man

John Silver wore his own version of Lee’s clothing for his match alongside Alex Reynolds and Adam Page versus MJF, Santana and Ortiz MJF had the Puerto Rican flag on his suitcases

Silver and Reynolds tossed some paper to their opponents to indicate what Lee was going to do to them at Being The Elite. MJF rolled out of the ring and yelled at Brodie Jr The boy -1 was resilient

Just like in the previous bouts, this followed a familiar formula everyone had a chance to stay in control, but for some reason this one seemed a bit more cohesive The pace was constant and the teamwork on both sides was crisp

Johnny Hungie got that hot day when we came back from a break and raved. He took out everyone on the opposing team single-handedly

Silver hit some great spots before MJF hit him with the heatseeker Santana and Ortiz tried to pin him down, but Reynolds saved Wardlow took Reynolds down and Erick RedBeard, the former Erick Rowan, showed up to take him out of the equation. p>

MJF ripped off Brodie Jr’s mask and the little man hit him with a kendo stick. The match ended with the victory of Silver, Reynolds and Page RedBeard joined them with a sign for Lee and tears in his eyes

This has been kind of the funniest, most emotional match so far. Everything with Lee’s son was so well done, and he performed in a way that would have made his father proud. AEW just got Brodie Jr the memory of a life everything about it was exactly what it had to be

Kingston shared his thoughts on Lee and how much he will miss him. He could hardly keep himself from crying as he spoke directly to Lee’s family through the camera

Anna Jay and Britt Baker started the match with chain rings.They all managed to get on an offensive before Conti came on

This match went slower than the six-man fights we’d seen before because there weren’t that many moving parts, so there was more time for each performer, so they went up and down

Tay and Jay have teamed up before, but it was a bit of a surprise that Ford and Baker work so well as a unit they had the heel down like they’d worked together all along

Jay, also known as 99, got the hot day when we got back from a commercial.She made a series of movements before Ford stopped her swing.Conti took care of Ford and left Jay and Baker in the ring together

Lee’s protégé signaled to Heaven and gave The Dark Order a tearful gesture. She caught Ford in a moonsault and joined a sleeper hold to win while Conti held Baker at bay

Jay and Conti celebrated with glassy eyes as the crowd cheered Tony Schiavone interviewed Baker after the match. She said the whole match was rigged and it was a conspiracy. She said it was a big rig, which is an indication Lee’s name in the indie scene is

Chris Jericho told a story about Brodie Lee when they were in Saudi Arabia together He said Brodie had spent the last six months of his career proving he was a star of the main event he said, even being more unkind Dog loved Brodie

At the main event, Preston “10” Vance kicked off Ricky Starks, Brian Cage and Powerhouse Hobbs with Cody Rhodes and Orange Cassidy, and Cassidy went out to give Brodie Jr a hang bump before the game

Cody started against Starks. They traded chops in the corner before The American Nightmare fell from a dropkick 10 reluctantly took the day and entered the match. When Hobbs stepped in, he just wanted to fight Cassidy

After everyone on Team Taz had spent some time beating Cassidy, Cody walked in and turned the tables on Starks We got to the point when everyone came in and got someone else out, and it ended with 10 Cage hit with a short-sleeved clothesline before Starks hit a tornado DDT for a two count

Cassidy, Cody, and 10 took turns hitting their finishers on Starks for the win 10 hugged his partners for the night and tossed up the symbol of the Dark Order before Team Taz came back in revenge and they decimated everyone before the lights went out and Darby Allin’s music struck The TNT Champion was soon supported by Sting

The painted duo made their way from the stands to the ring and stood with 10, Cody and Cassidy to end the segment

Cody was in the ring after the last hiatus, talking about how difficult it was to write the memo that everyone knows Brodie had died in. He talked about how much everyone loved Lee at AEW and he cried almost when he met Brodie Jr presented with its own entrance

He came out with his mother Amanda and they put Brody’s boots in the ring Tony Khan appeared and presented -1 with the TNT championship and named him TNT champion for life

Khan unveiled a video package to pay a final tribute to Lee.We saw pictures and clips from his time in the indie scene, before he had a huge beard and some family photos

This whole show was a lovely top-to-bottom homage. One of the great things about pro wrestling is that it’s entertainment, not a sport. It can do things like that because that’s what fans want to see
