Reporting on the impact of the coronavirus on the sports world

The PGA Tour is ready to greet what is arguably the most important weekend of the season. We have reached the final leg of the Californian swing which offers the best field on which to tour all the stars for one of the best courses at the Riviera Country Club for The 2021 Genesis Invitational Coming Out Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy are among the megastars leading this field as the PGA Tour prepares for its way back east

Let’s take a closer look at this week’s competition The odds and prop bets are provided through William Hill Sportsbook

1 Hey, Mr DJ: Dustin Johnson’s numbers are weird right now and we may underestimate the absolute tear he’s been on since Aug. 1 of last year only Johnson, Xander Schauffele, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas average over 2 0 strokes were won per round Schauffele is at 271 per round Johnson is at 362 He was about twice as good as No 5 on this list, Tony Finau, who is at 1.87 strokes per lap In addition, 70% of his starts have been top 5 finishes and he leads the way on strokes taken on this course in the last 10 years (with another big lead)

2 Bryson Noise: You can pick any number of things – including the course itself – as the second biggest act this week, but I’m going with Bryson DeChambeau he landed in the top 10 here last year – weight gain before weight – but he has been incredibly quiet since winning the U Opened in September. He’s only played two top 10s four times and has no real challenges to win. It’s always (always!) Fascinating, but even more so this week with a classic like Riviera

3 Three for Spieth: Jordan Spieth recently said he wasn’t in good headspace after the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines three weeks ago, then tore off two top 5 finishes in a row and goes to a place from whom he said was “probably my favorite golf course in the world” “As macho as the last two appearances were, if he does it this week in this area on this course, we can definitely say that Spieth is back and ready for Augusta National.” / p>

All that’s missing is Tiger Woods to host instead of playing. A total of 16 of the top 25 players in the official world golf rankings will be in attendance, and the strength of the field this week (628) is comparable to a playoff Event and almost a major championship Throw in the fact that the world No. 1 (DJ) took a win on its last start and Adam Scott beat Rory, Bryson and D here last yearand you can see why the excitement is high Note: A
