WHY THE 49ERS COULD WIN: All-pro tight-end George Kittle’s return from a broken foot that paused him since week 8 should be a tremendous emotional boost for the 49ers, who were eliminated from the postseason race last week give Kittle figures to keep C busyJ Beathard takes on quarterback after Nick Mullens’ end-of-season elbow injury … If nothing else, the 49ers’ stint in Arizona may have mitigated the Cardinals’ home advantage at State Farm, where the 49ers have played twice as the home team (and twice this month lost) have

WHY CARDINALS COULD WIN: They wanted to unleash an all-out attack on Beathard The 49ers ‘battered offensive line must step up their game as the Cardinals’ fiery passing rush has produced 14 sacks in the last two games … The 49ers need answers for the Arizona too – Quarterback Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins, his star receiver Hopkins had his way with the 49ers Secondary in the team’s first week – he had 14 catches for 151 yards … Murray, meanwhile, is always a pain to deal with. He hit those 49er with his arm (230 yards over, 1 TD) and legs (91 yards on 13 rushes) … Arizona ran 180 yards against the 49ers in the opener – and that was Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas – both since week 2 for the season
