RICHMOND, Va (WWBT) – More frustrations than thousands of seniors in central Virginia battled the technology and each other to get one of those limited vaccination appointments at CVS Health

Many of you have spent hours trying to sign up and get a time slot with no luck

“Incredibly frustrated, yeah. And you know, I really feel for the thousands of other seniors, probably tens of thousands, who are doing exactly what I did last night,” said Manson Boze, who lives in Manakin Sabot,

A statement from CVS Health said, “We know that high demand for vaccines outweighs current vaccine supply. The good news is that every appointment booked represents a shot in the arm and a vaccinated person once the government With more vaccines available, we can schedule more appointments and vaccinate more people. We have the capacity and ability to vaccinate more people in more locations and we are ready to do so as soon as the vaccine supply increases ”

There is notable interest in the COVID-19 vaccine and there is limited supply each week, so these CVS health appointments are just going to be really quick and will be like that for a while

CVS Health also said in its statement, “We expect more appointments will be available next week when we receive our second allocation”

On Friday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., CVS Health in Virginia is offering COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment only in 36 locations including Richmond, Midlothian and Mechanicsville

On Thursday morning, the registration process for additional appointments in the Commonwealth reopened and they moved quickly

Seniors in the area, including Manson Boze, spent hours online working their way through the system overnight, only to find out that appointments were occupied. Boze started its online appointment search at midnight and continued into the morning

“As the availability disappeared city by city over time, they didn’t show any available appointments and when I was finally able to make an appointment at 9 a.m. this morning there were nowhere more appointments left in the state,” said Boze
