Dancing and singing can be a mystery to many, but it makes for good television, and the first season finale of The Masked Dancer underscored that point tonight with a big surprise conclusion
Similar to its cousin The Masked Singer, the Masked Dancer is a dance competition with that certain something – prominent guests in colorful costumes and face masks are anonymous. They are joined by masked partners and side dancers, who move from hip-hop to salsa and jazz some of it is poetry in motion. Other parts, not so much
The first season winner was “Cotton Candy”, also known as three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas. Runner-up was “Sloth”, in real life the famous dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Third place went to “Tulip”, who is really Mackenzie Ziegler, the actress, singer and media influencer
The dancers can be decided, but the singing season is just around the corner.The Masked Singer will be on Wednesday 10th March at 8 p.m. ET / PT on Fox to unveil its fifth season premiere
