DALLAS – As strong winds and rain sweep through north Texas, the worst appears to be over after a tornado warning was canceled for Tarrant and Dallas Counties

The Arlington Police Department tweeted that they are assisting the Arlington Fire Department with some damage across the city, including malfunctioning beacons, various roof collapses on some buildings, and damage to buildings

It is unclear how bad the damage is and whether or not someone was injured, and several Snapchat users have posted videos of the damage along Pioneer Parkway during and after the storm

Just before 9 p.m. There was a severe storm near the Grand Prairie that could trigger a tornado and move east at 45 mph. The tornado warning went off just after 9 p.m.8 p.m. canceledm

I used to hear the tornado sirens from where I live in Dallas 75 just a few miles south of Richardson The good news is @Burton_Spectrum that the tornado warning alert has expired BUT we now have quite a bit of lightning and heavy rain! Stay inside! ImageTwittercom / TclFBiX17s

Here are several videos posted on Snapchat showing the effects of the severe storm in Arlington near Pioneer Parkway You can see severe damage to the Waterdance Apartments that appears to be a roof from the strong Wind gusts canceled @ SpectrumNews1TX
